北京时间4月9日，新疆男篮官方发布伤病公告，球队本土核心阿不都沙拉木在对阵天津的比赛受伤，他确诊为跖骨骨折赛季报销。新疆男篮本赛季多位球员赛季报销，目前仅排在第15名，无缘季后赛几成定局。
新疆男篮官方公告如下：“阿不都沙拉木在昨晚对阵天津的比赛中，加时赛进行至4分07秒时，被对方大外援落地时踩到右脚受伤，受伤后仍坚持打完比赛。”
“赛后疼痛加剧，经医院检查诊断为跖骨骨折，阿不都将遗憾缺席本赛季剩余比赛。俱乐部将全力保障后续治疗与康复，祝愿沙拉木早日痊愈、重返赛场，感谢广大球迷的关心与支持。”
作为新疆的本土核心与队长，阿不都本赛季代表球队出战34场比赛，场均21.9分钟贡献12分5篮板2.7助攻。
新疆男篮本赛季多位主力因伤报销，包括阿不都、吴冠希、西尔扎提等，球队两位主帅刘炜与格兰先后辞职。
目前新疆只有13胜23负战绩，排在联赛第15名。虽然理论上还有晋级季后赛席位，但新疆男篮最近10战8负，整体状态极为糟糕，无缘季后赛成为大概率之事。
